Getting around
The Banff townsite is small and you can walk just about anywhere in 5 to 15 minutes. Roam Transit buses run in and between Banff, Canmore and Lake Louise and serve most hotels and attractions; taxis and bikes are other options.
Staying safe
Banff has a lot of wildlife in and around the town, so be careful of elk and deer when driving. The most dangerous wildlife are elk rather than bears or cougars: cows are very protective of their calves in spring and bulls are aggressive during the autumn rut.
